Carole Legge Memorial Bursary FundThe Carole Legge Memorial Bursary Fund was established by an anonymous donor in honour of British Columbia's first provincial FAS Prevention Coordinator, Carole Legge. Carole was a pioneer of BC's provincial government initiatives regarding FAS and an influencial advocate for children and families throughout the province. Her work drew the attention of policy makers, politicians, and social service agencies, and inspired many professionals to become actively involved in collaborative efforts aimed at establishing and promoting healthy, inclusive supports for persons affected by FASD. The bursary is awarded periodically to a family who travels the greatest distance to attend a L.I.F.E. Session at Whitecrow Village, and brings with them at least 2 professionals from their home community. It offers financial support toward the total cost of session fees (approximately $950 - $1000 CDN per person) for each member of the family attending.
